Male 30th birthday

Again i've used a Penny Black image received in a swap, this time i've coloured it in with my water colour pencils. I've used 2 different sheets of paper from the Dovecraft Masculine set and then just some scraps of green card. Finished off with some peel offs and a little doodling around the edges of the image.

Brother In Laws 50th Birthday card

I made this quite early as my BIL's birthday isn't until June! But inspiration was there so i thought i might as well make it.

I made it using a Penny Black image that i got in a swap a while ago. I've coloured the image in using my H2O's then mounted it onto blue card. I've used some 3d foam so it stands out from the card. I've used Rob & Bob Studio paper for one side of the background and on the other side ive used a Woodware stamp for the paws using Blue Brilliance Dew Drop ink. For the finishing touches i've used some blue ric rac, a big blue brad with a rub on birthday message and finally the top right corner of the image i've used a Die Cuts With A View metal tag with 2 gold brads and a 50th peel off.

New Penny Black Stamps

Have treated myself this week to some of the brand new Penny Black stamps. I like the new transparent stamps they've recently brought out as i like the fact they don't take up much storage space.

OH's mum birthday card

Have just finished making this card for my OH's mum. Ive used a Penny Black image and as usual coloured it in with watercoulour pencils. I've then matted it on 2 different shades of card which i have also used on my Cricut to make the word mum. I've used Crate Paper for the green background and have used black ink around the edges for a slight distressed look. I've finished it off with Papermania ribbon, Anita's Happy Birthday stickers and a brown Bazzill flower, yellow Prima flower and a brad in the centre.

Birthday card for my mum

I struggled with this card today for some reason. I knew i wanted it to be pink and green and i had a floral stamp in mind that i wanted to use. I chose the papers first (kelly Panacci) and was happy with the choice but when it came to stamping the image it just didn't seem right. I then resorted to my faithful penny black images and came across this one and thought it would be perfect. I used my water colour pencils to colour it in pink and green to co-ordinate with my papers and finished the image off with some doodling around the corners giving it a stitched effect. I then decided to use brown paper to matt the image, then some floral paper and then finished it off with more of the brown. I used a Hero Arts happy birthday stamp underneath the image. Using my Cricut basic George font i cut out the letters for mum and finished it off with some Prima flowers and a brown Bazill flower with some brown brads in the centre. I'm very pleased with the end result even though it wasn't what i originally had in mind. I hope you like it.

Anniversary Cards

Both my mum and dad and my sister celebrate their wedding anniversaries in March. I decided to make similar cards i just altered the layout slightly. Unfortunately i didn't take a picture of my mum and dad's card but this is the one i did for my sister. I've used some Basic Grey paper to stamp a papermania image on which i have then embossed. The happy anniversary is cut using the Cricut. Ive then added a few red buttons and some red sequin hearts to finish it off.

OH's dad birthday card

Have just been busy making this card for OH's dad. Ive used Dovecrafts male papers and some gold and silver sail boat peel offs. I've used the negative of the opposite colour peel off to 'colour' the boats in. Something i've not tried before but i'm quite pleased with the results so i think i'll be trying it again.

Mothers day cards

I have 2 cards to make. One for my mum and one for OH's mum. The beary special one i made a while a go and added the same stamped image of the bear to the side which i used shrink plastic to make then attached it with a little safety pin.

The butterly one has been embossed and then coloured using perfect pearls.

Sisters birthday card

It was my sisters birthday the other day. Traditionally i usually make a card with hedgehogs on as she likes them but i wanted to something a bit different for her this year so this is what i came up with. Most of it is made from items of a recent QVC TSV.
