Hippo Humour

Was looking through my stamped images that I’ve had for a while and came across this ckeeky hippo image so thought it was about time I used it on a card. I have coloured it in with Promarkers, Cool Grey 1, 2 and 3 and almond. The papers are from Basic Grey, I’ve used gross grain ribbon, flower gems and the flowers are a X-Cut punch.

Male Christmas card

Made my 2nd Christmas card of the year today! Have made this one for a male specifically as I always find when I come to write my cards I don’t necessarily have ones appropriate for male friends. Have chosen a Penny Black image with a Spellbinders die cut, DCWV card, cuttlebug embossing folder, DCWV ric rac ribbon, papermania paper, dovecraft brad, papermania brads and star embellishment. The image has been coloured in with the following Promarkers

honeycomb, peach, berry red, powder blue, satin, pastel blue and cool grey 1

I am entering this card in to the following challenges:

Going Round In circles

Another card from today. This one is for the challenge on Cute Card Thursday blog challenge, the theme for which is ‘Going Round In Circles’. I have used Promarkers to colour in the Penny Black image and have used Tulip papers from K & Company. The oval die cut is from Spellbinders and the round tag is from Papermania. I’ve finished it off with 2 green flower gems in the corners.

Bunting

This is the first time that I have used bunting on my cards, although from what I have seen of other peoples cards it seems to be quite popular. The reason I have given it a go is because it is the challenge on Penny Black blog site this week. I have also used the sketch from this weeks challenge on Sketch Saturday blog which is below.

SS-164

I have used papers from a pack by HOTP called Floral Ultimate Pack. My Penny Black image is coloured in with Promarkers: Antique pink, soft green, almond, blush, oatmeal, rose pink, pastel green, pastel pink, gold, vanilla, tulip yellow and cool grey 1. The sentiment is from Tulip and I have finished off with 3 pink gems in the bottom right hand corner.

I almost forgot!

I had a very pleasant surprise this morning when I logged on to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog to find that I had won last weeks challenge with my beach theme card posted earlier in the week. I am very excited and will be receiving a lovely new Penny Black stamp as my prize shortly Smile

First Christmas card of 2011

Again this card is inspired by 2 challenge blogs this week. The first is Sketch Saturday. This weeks sketch is below

The second challenge blog I am entering this card in is Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme over there this week is Christmas In July, hence my first Christmas card for the year. I have moved away from Promarkers this week and have chosen to use water colour pencils. I can’t remember where the papers and embellishments are from, I think they are Flair but can’t be certain. I’ve had them for a while.

Hope you like it and thank you for looking as always. x

Have been inspired to make this male birthday card by this weeks theme on Cute Card Thursday challenge blog which is ‘Technology’. Have used nellies dies, image is Penny Black ‘A song for you’, Happy Birthday cuttlebug embossing folder and papers are from the Daisy and Dandelion Perfect Picnic pack. Promarkers used are

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

Unfortunately no such luck for me today but the weather is gorgeous and the theme for this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge is Desert Island Stamps. I have decided to go with a beach theme although it could be a favourite Penny Black stamp you use all the time. Any way, I went for a beach theme with this lovely cat image. The papers I think are DCWV and I have used my promarkers to colour the image in with. The stickers are K & Co grand adhesions.

Thank you for looking.

Penny Black Sketch Saturday

Time for a new challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog. This week the challenge is to make a card with the theme ‘stitch it up’. This can be either faux stitching, hand or machine stitching. As I don’t have a sewing machine I have decided to use rub ons for my faux stitching. The papers I’ve used are K & Co for the orange and the others are HOTP. Again the image has been coloured in with Promarkers and I have used some prima flowers for a nice finish with a brad in the centre. Thanks for looking and please feel free to leave me a comment if you have the time.

Penny Black Sketch Saturday 3rd Birthday

This week over on the Penny Black Sketch Saturday Blog, its their 3rd birthday and to celebrate there is a birthday blog hop whereby we can enter a card but we need to visit all the designers blogs to enter. One of these blogs has a proze but no one knows which one. The theme for the card is Pesky Critters. I have decided to use a stamp that I have had for a while but never actually used yet. I’ve used my faithful promarkers to colour the image, a Nellies die and some prima flowers. I am not sure who the paper is by as I’ve had it a while but I think it may be DCWV.

Thank you for looking and i hope you like it.

Forever Friends Wedding Card

I have made this concertina style card for my friends wedding which is in August. It has been used mainly with the black and gold collection from Forever Friends. The wedding stickers are from the normal collection. I have used 3 different papers so I can enter it into the monthly challenge over at the Forever Friends Challenge blog. As it’s quite thick I have also made up a little box for it to go in which I have wrapped some gold ribbon round. I’m really pleased with it and hope they will be happy with it when they open it.

I love Promarkers challenge

I have only just started to use promarkers and am already loving the results you can achieve with them and have grown quite a large collection in a short space of time. I love Promarkers is a great challenge website and this week they gave us a sketch for some inspiration to create a card. This time I have made another male theme card, this time for my partners nephew. The sketch is below

Sketch_thumb

Again I have used Basic Grey papers and unfortunately I did not keep a record of the promarker colours I used. I will have to get in the habit of keeping a note. Sorry. Hope you like the card and thank you for looking.

Male Penny Black birthday card

This is the second card made for my other nephew. Again I have used Basic Grey papers, peel offs and the image has been coloured in with water colour pencils. Have kept this one a little more simple.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

I have made this card for my nephew using some inspiration from the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog.  This week we were asked to make a male theme card. I have actually made 2 as both my nephews have birthdays in July but this is the card I chose to enter on to the blog.  I’ve used Twinkling H2O’s to colour the image, Basic Grey papers, Martha Stuart paper punch, Spellbinders die for the circle and a few peel offs. I hope you like it. Thanks for looking.

Penny Black 60th Birthday card

It has been a very long time since I posted anything on here but thought this card deserved to be shown. It is my friends 60th birthday later this year and she loves the colour purple. So I’ve used some lovely glittered DCWV papers, this gorgeous Penny Black image which I have coloured in with my new favourite promarker pens and then to finish off, I’ve added some doodled edges around the card. I hope you like it.
