The last few weeks Forever Friends challenge cards from me.
Have used some of the FF stickers for both of these cards. The top card is corrugated card which I've had for ages. Not used because of the shape but i think it works well here. The second is following a sketch over on the FF challenge blog. Finished off with Prima flowers and a brad. I've inked around the edges of the paper too.

Forever Friends Easter card & St Georges day card
Haven't had the chance to update my blog in a while so thought it was about time I did whilst I have a few minutes spare. Over the past 2 weeks the challenges on the Forever Friends blog have been Easter and St Georges day. For St Georges day the theme was red and white. These are the cards I made for these challenges.

This weeks FF Challenge
Over on the Forever Friends challenge blog this week it is all about A Gift For Someone. The simple rules being to make a gift other than a card. I was a little stumped on this one at first but then i decided to make a photo frame. I've used some old thick cardboard I had lying around, Clare Curd paper's, prima flowers and some red buttons from my stash. I've then finished it off with a FF sticker.

Happy Easter
The year is passing by so quickly. Can't believe it's nearly easter! Have just been making this card using a Penny Black image I received in a swap some time ago. I've used Basic Grey papers and water colour pencils to colour the image in. The hoppy easter stamp is also something I received in a swop. I think it's another Penny Black one but not entirely sure. Have finished it off with some heart shape gems in the bottom right corner.

First Challenge on the Daisy & Dandelion challenge blog
The new Daisy & Dandelion challenge blog is up and running with it's first ever challenge, which this week is new beginnings. I've just been having a play with the stamps i brought yesterday and opted for the Pickles and Onion characters. Keeping the colours simple i've used some of the new papers from Clare Curds range which again i brought yesterday. I think the tones work quite well together. I've finished off with some brads and ribbon in matching tones.
Hobbycrafts NEC Saturday
Well I went to the big Hobbycrafts and Sewing for pleasure show at the NEC yesterday and as you can image the place was packed and there was a lot of shoving and bumping into people but there was also a lot of buying :) One thing that me and my friend noticed was how much decoupage there was. On almost every stall decoupage was the main feature, which is great if you like it but although I do make the odd decoupage card, I can't say it is one of my favourite techniques because I don't like all the cutting out and the sticky foam pads!
I did manage to buy a few bits and pieces. Imparticular I got some of the nice new Daisy and Dandelion stamps which I have just been playing with. They are so cute.
Here are some pictures of what I brought. Miraculously I stuck to my budget. Now there's a first!! ;)

Sisters birthday card
I made this card a little while ago but didn't want to post it incase my sister saw it on here, but as her birthday was on Thursday I think it's now safe to share it with you all. I've used a Sarah Kay image that was sent to me and coloured it in with watercolour pencils. I've used K&Co leters for the word Sister and papers from HOTP.

Happy Mothers Day
I'm a little early for this, but when i get an idea in my head for a card I have to make it there and then otherwise i will probably forget it!
Forever Friends Valentine card
Love is in the air :D. The challenge on Forever Friends Challenge blog is Valentine this week, so here is the card I made for OH. It's A4 size so i've used 2 decoupage designs and some Papermania papers. I've used my new Purple Cows trimmer to give a deckle edged finish inside and out.

Tall and Thin Forever Friends Challenge
This weeks challenge over on Forever Friends Challenge blog is Tall and Thin. I can't remeber the last time i made a card this side so it was nice to do something a bit different. Have used pieces from the Celebration kit that my OH brought me as a anniversary present a few weeks ago as well as some extra's like the flowers and the button.

Another Forever Friends challenge card
I'm getting hooked to these little fellas and am loving all the challenges over on the Forever Friends Challenge blog I must admit, the theme this week of Oriental was a little bit of a struggle for me. It's not that i don't love oriental because i do! But trying to fit a bear into it was the difficult bit. In the end i decided to use the Far East paper pack by DCWV to stamp the present on that the bear is holding. In total i stamped the bear 4 times to get it how i wanted. I've used an oriental stamp for the background with some shiny red card for matting. Finished off with black ribbon and an oriental coin thing (sorry don't know what they're called) with some red cord. I hope you like it.

Forever Friends Challenge Card
The challenge on the Forever Friends challenge blog this week is all about ribbon. Being creative with ribbon without just placing a bow on it. My idea was the use ribbon as a border so i have used 4 different types of ribbon on the 4 corners of the card and then wrapped some black ribbon around card to make a frame the bear in the centre of the card. I've stuck with a purple theme as it's my favourite colour and left off a sentiment because i couldn't quite find the right style to put on it.

Brothers birthday card
I decided to use the ATC that I made for the Forever Friends challenge into a birthday card for my brother. I've kept it simple by just adding some more of the star paper down the left hand side of the card to co-ordinate with the paper on the ATC and then used some spotty ribbon down the middle. I've then used peel offs for the happy birthday text and the silver border.
Birthday card for my mum
I always try and make family cards more special and i wanted to do something slightly different to a standard card this year so i've done this one so it can be hung up.

A bit different! An ATC for Forever Friends challenge blog
The Forever Friends challenge blog are asking us to make an ATC this week. Not something that i usually do but i thought i would make one and then use it as a card topper for my brothers birthday card. Here is the design i came up with.
I've used some Forever Friends paper from the celebrations 6x6 pack and the tool bear stamp coloured in with Rosewood Marvy Le Plum pen for the bear and then watercolour pencils for the rest of the image. I've used a Whispers pen for the stitched effect doodling around the edges and to write the word Brother.

1st Birthday Card
Made this card yesterday for my friends little girl who is 1 in a few weeks time. It's not very often i get the chance to make childrens cards and i wanted to make this one nice and girly which is why i went for the pink and purple colour scheme and the fairy image. The fairy wings have been coloured in with the Sakura star dust pen to add some glitter and the rest of the image is coloured in with Whispers pens. I've used a mixture of the Stamped cricut cartridge for the name and George Basics cartridge for the Today. The one is just something i did free hand and then used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to add some texture.
