Birthday card for my mum

I struggled with this card today for some reason. I knew i wanted it to be pink and green and i had a floral stamp in mind that i wanted to use. I chose the papers first (kelly Panacci) and was happy with the choice but when it came to stamping the image it just didn't seem right. I then resorted to my faithful penny black images and came across this one and thought it would be perfect. I used my water colour pencils to colour it in pink and green to co-ordinate with my papers and finished the image off with some doodling around the corners giving it a stitched effect. I then decided to use brown paper to matt the image, then some floral paper and then finished it off with more of the brown. I used a Hero Arts happy birthday stamp underneath the image. Using my Cricut basic George font i cut out the letters for mum and finished it off with some Prima flowers and a brown Bazill flower with some brown brads in the centre. I'm very pleased with the end result even though it wasn't what i originally had in mind. I hope you like it.
